Lucy h: Good use of embedded quotations and reference to Steinbeck. You could try to refer to the reader to show what effect it has on the reader

Zach very well structured and well embeded quotaions. To improve i would go into detail about why slim was respected.

Sophie Goodwin: Good analysis of the character of Slim maybe add in a few more quotations, but other than that, not too bad Sophie, not too bad xxx

Lucy c: Good reference to Steinbeck and embedded quotations. You could try to say why Steinbeck has included these things and what effect it has on the reader

In "Of Mice and Men" Steinbeck has chosen the theme of Respect. In the novel he writes about all the different characters and how they have different amounts of respect for each other.Slim has respect for everyone on the ranch and everybody likes him in the way he does not get involved with anyone and keeps himself to himself. In the novel Steinbeck does not give Curley alot of respect for example,
